Young hoop Simone Montgomerie will represent the Territory in the fourth heat of the National Apprentice Series at Hawkesbury today.
Montgomerie has got the ride on the Clarry Connors-trained Hot Rocks, a filly bred by leviathan owner Gerry Harvey.
The Conatus three-year-old takes on the older gallopers in the Benchmark 65 Hcp (1400m) and should be approaching full fitness after three runs back from a spell.
Hot Rocks is drawn to get the gun run from barrier one and despite only winning one of her 15 starts, has placed in three of her last five.
The biggest dangers appear to be Sir Prancer, from the Gwenda Markwell stable, Robert Price's County Cavan and the Bart Cummings-prepared Gold World.
Montgomerie, who missed last weekend's Territory meetings through suspension, has ridden six winners so far this season and takes on talented apprentices the calibre of Jason Maskiell, Jake Noonan and Nathan Berry in the race.
