Smart mare Knicker Bocker made it a perfect three from three with another strong performance at Fannie Bay yesterday.
The Lynne Williams-trained four-year-old has been fantastic since arriving in the Top End from Western Australia and got the job again despite rising in grade.
Giving the wins even more merit is that the highly strung mare does plenty wrong, yet manages to overcome it.
Yesterday she didn't want to go into the barriers and sweated up again, but it didn't matter as she led all the way to beat The Flying Fox and Major Nelson in the Sky Racing 0-63 Hcp (1100m).
"She jumped good. I always planned on being prominent," an elated jockey Colin Haddon said after the race.
"Once I got in the straight I just clicked to her and she went away with it.
"She'll be all right when she comes back."
The Kerry Petrick team looks to have a strong Darwin Guineas contender with promising three-year-old I Am Magic.
I Am Magic, a former Tasmanian, just missed out in his Territory debut in Alice Springs last month, but made up for that in his first Top End run, coming away for a three-length victory over Aristocloche with Golden Shekels in third.
Last year's Darwin Cup-winning trainer and stable rider Paul Denton continued up the Stuart Highway after the Alice Springs Carnival and Petrick tasted success in her first meeting back at Fannie Bay since that magical day with Shout Out Loud.
Strong sprinter Wrencher continued his good form, defying another big impost to take home the feature, the NT Packaging Benchmark Hcp (1100m).
Barry Huppatz controlled the race from the front, making sure the 61kg never became an issue, holding off another iron-horse in Phantom Verde.
Veteran hoop Colin Dean enjoyed a successful return to the saddle after a long break, steering Michael Hickmott's Besofabuleux to back-to-back wins with a well-rated ride in the last.
Earlier in the day, a strong front-running ride from Richie Oakford helped Gary Clarke's Buck n Spin break his maiden.
