Darwin trainer Gary Clarke says anything will be a bonus from his Adelaide adventure with impressive mare Dream Face.
The four-year-old, who has strung together six consecutive wins at Fannie Bay, has headed down the Stuart Highway for what Clarke knows is a shot at the stumps in tomorrow's Holdfast Insurance Handicap (1050m) at Morphettville.
"She was always going for a spell down here, but we decided to give her a shot in Adelaide after performing so well at home," Clarke said.
"The plan was to run her in the fillies and mares sprint last week, but the truck couldn't get down here in time, so this is the one.
"It's a cracker of a field with the likes of Happy Glen (a winner of $409,900 in prizemoney) and Obsidian Dragon ... I'd be happy if she ran in the first four."
Clarke has nothing but admiration for the daughter of Face Value, who not only has plenty of toe but a cast-iron constitution, as evidenced by her campaign since arriving in the Top End.
