Day 8 - Carlton Mid Darwin Cup
The big day arrives. The 2013 Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Carnival, the climax to 8 days of fantastic racing and a sensational social scene. This is when Darwin truly shines, showing just how good we are at hosting an event on a grand scale. One month of Carnival culminates in this day to remember. With the final leg of the SKYCITY Triple Crown, we may just experience history being repeated as happened in 1989 and 1996.
The marquees are set up, the bars are stocked, the food is prepared, the punters are ready to party and are dressed to impress the judges in their best racing attire. This is the chance to win great prizes on the day.
In just over two minutes on the track, we find out who will take home the glory, the kudos and $200,000 purse.
