Much loved trainer Bevan Halter fittingly closed the book on a stellar 40-year Territory racing career in the finest way possible at Fannie Bay last weekend. One of Territory racing's finest gentleman, Halter produced a fairytale finish even Cinderella would have been jealous of with a winning double including victory courtesy of his final runner Tiger Oh in the Jewies Are On Handicap (1000m).
Former Darwin Cup champion Lanson ended one of the longest winning droughts in fashionable style at Cheltnham over the weekend. The eight year old scored his first win in 991 days when he hung on to win the Spring Gulley Foods Handicap (2250m).
