Denton's fitting win

horse_heads.jpg It was only fitting one of Territory racing's greatest jockeys, Paul Denton, won the inaugural Bevan Halter - Aureole King Memorial Handicap (1100m) at Fannie Bay on Saturday. Denton, who has been a fixture on the NT scene for the past three decades, produced a typically polished ride to guide Legal Persuit home and claim a special victory.

 

 
He's Here grabs Gold Cup glory

hes-here.gif Top-notch talent He's Here issued an ominous Darwin Cup warning with a courageuos victory in Saturday's NT TAB ROANT Gold Cup (1300m) at Fannie Bay. Having his first start since winning last month's Alice Springs Cup, the four-year-old Kerry Petrick galloper lumped 61kg to beat young rival Protesta by a head in a heart-stopping finish.

 
Our Cup Carnival countdown begins

The eight-meet racing carnival will start in less than two weeks. Ms Biggs, 28, is the carnival ambassador and will be putting her best foot forward for the Territory's top racing carnival.
